30 Days With Tribu: Content Marketing Intern

From being a mentee in high school to a content marketing intern in college, learn about the eye-opening journey that I’ve had with Tribu!...

As my senior year comes to an end, I wanted to use my last long break at home to experience what life could look like after graduation as a marketing intern. I only had 30 days at home, so I was ready to make the most of my time wherever I ended up. Tribu was a no-brainer top choice. It’s safe to say I made the right decision.

It all started in high school...

In high school, I participated in a program called Independent Study Mentorship. This is a year-long program where you get to research your dream job while shadowing someone in the field. I bet you can guess where I did my shadowing experience... at Tribu! Not to be dramatic, but this was a life-changing experience. It showed me that I loved marketing. It was something I could see myself doing in college and as a career. I loved my shadowing experience with Tribu - from the welcoming culture to the fun projects that I got to shadow. Even tribe members that weren’t my mentor let me shadow them. I got to see all the different sides of marketing from content to design. I loved it! When I finished my program, I knew I wanted to make it back to Tribu someday.

But first, college!

I am currently a senior at Texas A&M studying marketing. It’s been a blast so far, and I’m both excited and terrified for my time to come to an end in May. During my time in college, I’ve kept in contact with tribe friends, updating them on life and exciting marketing projects I’ve had. I knew they preferred to have upperclassmen interns, so I impatiently waited until my senior year to apply for a content marketing intern position.

Finally, I made it back to Tribu

This winter break, I’ve had the joy of being a content marketing intern. It's been so eye-opening to participate in aspects of marketing that you can’t necessarily do in a college class. I’ve gotten to write and publish blogs for different industries, make TikTok content, learn how to optimize blogs for SEO, and become friends with fellow tribe members! I’ve learned so much in the little time that I've had, and I am so grateful for this internship experience. It’s made me so confident in my abilities and it's been a good reminder that I picked the right major.  For any incoming junior and senior college students looking for a marketing internship, I HIGHLY recommend Tribu! I was able to learn so much in such a short time and become part of the tribe. I do not doubt that you can have a similar experience for yourself at Tribu.
